Job Title: Floor Technician - Night (NARA I)

Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Floor Technician (Night Shift) in Washington, DC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and buffing the floor surfaces of commercial buildings. Perform maintenance activities
  • Labeling chemicals correctly.
  • Cleaning, maintaining, and storing equipment and PPE proficiently.
  • Keeping an inventory of floor areas, and scheduling cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Measuring chemicals correctly
  • Performing cleaning tasks and special projects
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
  • Abundance of walking, bending, kneeling, carrying and working in uncomfortable positions.
  • Moving furniture before and after cleaning.

Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience as a janitor (5 Yrs experience)
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Must be willing to adhere to company policies
  • Must be able to pass background check on credit and criminal
  • Must be able to work any shift assigned
  • Familiarity with SDS
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Ability to handle equipment and machinery
