Job Title: Floor Technician - Night (NARA I)
Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Floor Technician (Night Shift) in Washington, DC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and buffing the floor surfaces of commercial buildings. Perform maintenance activities
- Labeling chemicals correctly.
- Cleaning, maintaining, and storing equipment and PPE proficiently.
- Keeping an inventory of floor areas, and scheduling cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Measuring chemicals correctly
- Performing cleaning tasks and special projects
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Abundance of walking, bending, kneeling, carrying and working in uncomfortable positions.
- Moving furniture before and after cleaning.
Qualifications:
- Proven working experience as a janitor (5 Yrs experience)
- Must be a self-starter
- Must be willing to adhere to company policies
- Must be able to pass background check on credit and criminal
- Must be able to work any shift assigned
- Familiarity with SDS
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Ability to handle equipment and machinery
