Position : CWI Quality Control Inspector
Job Summary : Ohmstede LTD. is seeking a CWI Quality Control Inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspections, conduct non-destructive testing on heat exchanger components and parts, and compile, prepare and submit documentation to fully comply with internal policy and practices as well as customer requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Major Duties :
Inspect for and verify heat lot number as material is brought into production.Check for accuracy and perform in process dimensional measurement of machined and / or fabricated parts using acceptable measuring devices and standards.
Perform inspections on all completed parts and components applying appropriate tag (red, yellow, green).Perform layout or fit-up inspection when requested.
Use prints to perform dimensional checks of completed parts and / or units.Observe hydro testing, verify hydro pressures, and inspect dry out procedure and dryness.
Review and inspect painting requirements.Prepare completed units for shipment by installing or applying name plate, lettering, or others as required.
Perform non-code NDE testing using acceptable procedures and standards.Check and re-calibrate tools and equipment as instructed on a continuous and on-going basis.
Set up and perform assignments based on shop practices and procedures.Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner, avoiding all unsafe practices.
Prepare the QC data file for each job after completion ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Knowledge High School diploma or equivalent; or equivalent experience, sufficient product knowledge / welding procedures.
Certified Welding Inspector able to be verified by AWS.
