Embrace Life Services is Hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Caregiver- Group home Near Glendale, AZ

About Us:

Embrace Life, Inc. provides Home and Community Based Services for people with developmental disabilities who are supported through the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). Our goal is to help individuals achieve the best quality of life possible through a range of in-home care services, communications, and advocacy services. We are looking to hire full-time and part-time at our group homes in the West Valley.

About the role:
Direct Support Professionals strives to be positive role models in order to help individuals build confidence and assist them in acquiring the skills needed to build a successful future. They must be willing to drive company vehicles on community trips if they have a valid AZ Drivers License. We are looking for caring and dynamic staff, who are eager to teach skills aimed at independence, job readiness, and community inclusion. They are able to perform direct care with residents and must appropriately implement teaching strategies for ISP goals and behavior plans. This program is a behavioral challenge which means expect to be stay alert and work closely with the member to improve their quality of life at their home.

Responsibilities:

-Assisting individuals with personal care tasks; such as eating, bathing, toileting, and other daily living activities

- Re-directing and behavior management.

- Transporting clients to and from appointments.

- Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of member goal progression.

- Other reasonably related duties as assigned.

- Dispense medication to members.

- Data documents and completing online paperwork

Requirements:
- A least 21 years of age.
- A High School diploma or GED.
- Able to obtain Arizona State level one fingerprint clearance.
- Able to obtain certifications for CPR/First Aid, Article 9, and Prevention and Support.
- Eligible drivers must have a clean 39-month MVD report and have a valid AZ Driver License.
- Experience working with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week

Ability to Relocate:

  • Glendale, AZ 85306: Relocate before starting work (Required)
