When a child can’t remain safely in their home, we partner with local agencies to support them through foster care, adoption, mentoring and beyond to ensure that children in bad situations move toward brighter futures.Telecommuting/Remote work options may be availableStarting salary: $70K-$73,600(negotiable based on experience)------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position leads, guides, and directs a team of intake, placement, and assessment staff ensuring the least restrictive and most clinically appropriate placement for children and youth in licensed out of home care. They will ensure compliance with applicable federal, state & contractual requirements. KEY FUNCTIONS:
Coordinates Case Transfer Staffings (CTS) for the Tri-County.
Coordinates Placement Support Staffings (PSSs) with assigned CMA behavioral health coordinator.
Creates and coordinates monthly on-call schedule.
Approves in-home respite and 1:1 service process.
Creates and sends out daily pending placement reports.
Monitors activities to meet specific measureable service objectives to assure compliance with statewide operation goals.
Participates in the agency strategic plan & quality improvement processes
Plans performance expectations and monitors performance.
Assists in the development and management of the out of home care budget including adjusting expenditures and ensuring responsible stewardship.
QUALIFICATIONS: Required:
Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university and 5 years’ experience in child welfare services (providing directly a continuum of services designed to ensure that childrenare safe and that families. have the necessary support to care for their childrensuccessfully.)
Extensive knowledge of child welfare operations and mental health services.
PREFERRED:
Experience in implementing Quality Assurance and Improvement processes.
Experience in Data Analysis
Licensed Clinician (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT)
SKILLS:
Effective leadership and management skills.
Knowledge of basis management principles and practices
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to define problems, collect, evaluate and analyze data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Ability to document work flow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.
Ability to analyze, integrate and report data
Demonstrate cultural and linguistic competence & sensitivity to population served
SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
Thorough Background Screening upon hire including FBI, FDLE, Local Law check, Employment Reference check, DMV check, Criminal Records check, Social Security Trace & Drug Screening. FDLE check will be run at least every 5 years.
On-call assignments- Yes
Travel- local: 10% per week, long-distance: 1% per month
Attend at least 15 hours of in-service training annually
