Where do you fit?

To be a successful Systems Administrator you must become able to do the following always:

Monitor and maintain Company Wide Area Network and virtual environment.

Monitor and maintain data backups and test backup integrity periodically.

Update and patch server and desktop operating systems regularly.

Active Directory and Office 365 user account maintenance.

Plan, install, configure, maintain, and repair the Company’s servers, workstations, and VMware environment. Provide upper-level technical support for information systems. Work closely with the Data Services team to ensure the system's needs are met. Act as primary technical interface with vendors. Establish and maintain emergency and failure recovery processes. Keep abreast of new technology and recommend changes as needed.

Ensure compliance with regulations and accreditation standards related to information technology. Monitor firewall and security logs and follow up on security complaints. Define and implement access controls, such as adding/deleting/modifying user account information, resetting passwords, etc. Maintain antivirus, system, and hardware updates.

Provide second tier end user support. Troubleshoot, identify, and repair or resolve problems. Provide technical assistance and training to customers.

Ensure successful backup, monitor VMware environment ensuring system stability.

Document configuration and maintenance of network and servers.

Follow Company Policy and Procedure and operate according to the Company’s Program Practice Guidelines.
