Responsible for the scheduling, planning, and controlling of the production/material schedules based upon the demand, creating and converting planned production work orders, providing effective and efficient manufacturing operation and expediting and establishing the deliveries of materials based upon MRP runs.

Essential Responsibilities (included but are not limited to):
  • Develop weekly production plans for the manufacturing department to ensure execution of the master schedule in an efficient manner.
  • Create and submit purchase orders to suppliers to support the production plans.
  • Maintain PO acknowledgment.
  • Manage materials on the scheduling agreement.
  • Expedite/de-expedite purchased materials based on production performance.
  • Interact with supply planning to provide information both to and from global supply planning and the plant.
  • Provide production reporting to manufacturing as required.
  • No direct supervisory responsibility
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Team Leader and required to support the needs of the business.
ECO’s scheduling responsibilities include:
  • Review of preliminary ECO’s prior to issuance and makes suggestions for corrections as necessary
  • Research ECO’s upon release and coordinate the material changes as called out by the ECO
  • Evaluate obsolescence materials to minimize waste and submit material dispositions for obsolete materials
  • Work with the quality department to assure specifications for materials are correct.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Read, write, and speak English
  • Computer proficiency
  • 1 year experience in production/material planning and scheduling, or related manufacturing experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Four-year degree in related field of study such as Business Administration or Supply Chain.
  • APICS certification.
  • Understanding of the business and financial requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities.
  • Proven decision making skills.
  • Proven problem solving skills.
