- Develop weekly production plans for the manufacturing department to ensure execution of the master schedule in an efficient manner.
- Create and submit purchase orders to suppliers to support the production plans.
- Maintain PO acknowledgment.
- Manage materials on the scheduling agreement.
- Expedite/de-expedite purchased materials based on production performance.
- Interact with supply planning to provide information both to and from global supply planning and the plant.
- Provide production reporting to manufacturing as required.
- No direct supervisory responsibility
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Team Leader and required to support the needs of the business.
- Review of preliminary ECO’s prior to issuance and makes suggestions for corrections as necessary
- Research ECO’s upon release and coordinate the material changes as called out by the ECO
- Evaluate obsolescence materials to minimize waste and submit material dispositions for obsolete materials
- Work with the quality department to assure specifications for materials are correct.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Read, write, and speak English
- Computer proficiency
- 1 year experience in production/material planning and scheduling, or related manufacturing experience.
- Four-year degree in related field of study such as Business Administration or Supply Chain.
- APICS certification.
- Understanding of the business and financial requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
