Job Title: Life CoachWork Hours/Shifts: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

Work Schedule: Full Time

Rate: $25.07

Primary Job Function:

Will assist clients in developing, implementing, and evaluating strategies designed to help them achieve mutually agreed upon goals, as identified in the clients’ treatment plans or as indicated by a client, in collaboration with relevant members of the client’s treatment team. Life Coaching will focus on enhancing clients’ personal development, enhanced performance, independent living skills.

Responsibilities

• Life Coaches shall instruct, supervise, and assist clients in the development of life skills, including, but not limited to: health and lifestyle choices; meal preparation and weekly shopping; time and money management; work, social, and study skills; cleanliness and hygiene; and organizational skills.Will instruct, supervise, and assist participants in developing and implementing strategies aimed at achieving identified goals of enhanced performance, independent living, and/or personal development, as established by the participant, the participant’s primary therapist or case manager, and the director of life coaching services.Will assist clients in developing their personal projects, life-balance, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and other areas requiring attention in the client’s life, academics, business, or profession.Will employ the innovative and necessary methods to assist clients in the process of determining and achieving personal goals. Such methods may include, but are not limited to: strategic planning, values clarification, brainstorming, modeling, and motivational speaking. Shall maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate the needs and availabilities of their clients.Shall attend treatment team meetings pertaining to their clients, and other such meetings as assigned by the Director of Coaching Services or other supervisor. In the event that they are unable to attend such a meeting, Life Coaches will in provide a summary of their input in advance of the meeting and at their earliest opportunity will assume responsibility for learning what was discussed during that meeting.Will maintain and provide documentation for each individual Coaching Session in such form, and setting forth such information and data, as is reasonably requested and/or required by the Company. Life Coaches shall complete any other necessary forms, logs and reports as required or requested by the Company and/or Director of Life Coaching Services. All documentation, reports, and paperwork shall be submitted in accordance to the deadlines and schedules set forth by the Company and/or Director of Life Coaching Services.Work collaboratively and effectively communicates with department heads, therapists, and ILS staff.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or the equivalent education and experience) in the behavioral sciences, social services, or a related field is required. A related graduate degree or concurrent enrollment in a master’s level degree program is strongly preferred. Alternative verifiable equivalent education and experience will be taken into consideration.

• LMFT, LSWS or equivalent

• Strong teaching, training, and facilitation skills. Minimum 1 year of experience working as a professional coach, clinician, teacher, instructor, or related profession.

  Minimum 1 year of experience working in a clinical or correctional setting.

  Minimum 1 year of experience working with young adults.

AND/OR

• 2 years experience working with youth
• Interested in working with young adults 18-25 in a residential capacity
• Ability and willingness to demonstrate empathy and concern with a high risk population
• CA Driver's license and clean driving record
• Must pass TB test
• Willing to become CPR/First Aid Certified and get flu shot
