Assistant House Lead 

$19.00 per hour

Lake Ozark, Missouri - NOT remote

Shift: 6am to 6pm Thursday through Saturday and e/o Wednesday

Calo Programs is a unique organization comprising an extraordinary group of programs (family intensives, preteen and teen residential treatment centers, and young adult transition programs) all dedicated to healing the effects of early trauma. The Assistant House Lead acts as a life coach for young adult males who are transitioning to independent living. Our unique model facilitates the establishment, deepening, and maintaining healthy and safe relationships that ultimately lead to co-regulation and joy. 

Responsibilities

• This position supports the House Lead and will ensure there is a healthy program culture, promote positive peer and family relationships, and encourage life skill development.
• To be successful in this role the right candidate will ensure student safety within the team/home and provide support to our young adult students who are launching into adulthood.
• This position requires more than just giving helpful tips or advice to students, you must formulate strategies to help the students meet the goals set with the treatment team.
• The Assistant House Lead’s suggestions are based on realistic expectations, creating steppingstones for their students, rather than overwhelming or unattainable goals.
• The Assistant House Lead acts as a life coach for the students, meeting with them consistently to discuss their progress in meeting their set goals and is responsible for supporting students and assisting them to find motivation as they work toward lifestyle improvements.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age 

• Ability to pass criminal background check. 

• Experience – 6 months working in a residential treatment setting.

• Education – Accredited High School/GED, bachelor’s degree preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Sitting/Standing – employee may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

• Walking – employee may be required to walk considerable distance during the workday. 

• Carrying – the employee may be required to carry objects in his or her arms and must have full mobility of arms to perform Safe Crisis Management (SCM)

• Lifting – employee may be required to raise or lower students from one level to another during the shift and must be able to lift 45 pounds to perform SCM.

• Stooping and crouching – The employee is required to bend forward at the waist and/or kneel to perform SCM.
