We design and manufacture insulated packaging systems that ensure the safe transportation of temperature-sensitive products, such as vaccines, drugs, and biological samples. The company has also developed and implemented a unique and powerful reverse logistics supply chain system allowing an efficient and environmentally friendly supply chain for the cold packaging needs of its customers.

We are a global manufacturer and supplier with three North American facilities, Montgomeryville PA, Indianapolis IN and Juarez Mexico. Emball’ISO Global Headquarter is located near Lyon France and the company has a strong presence across the world to support its growing customer base.

Plant Manager / Head of Operations - Emball’ISO INC

Job Location Montgomeryville (PA) – regular travel to other sites to be expected (20%)

We are currently a small site with a bright future. We have 40 employees with expected strong growth in the future. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic plant manager / head of operations (multi-site).

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant management, including production, logistics and supply chain management, quality control, equipment maintenance, and staff management, ensuring efficient operations and alignment with our business goals. The plant manager / head of operations will report to the General Manager North America Emball’ISO INC.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversee daily operations of the plant and ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement efficient processes to maximize productivity and optimize resource utilization.
• Lead, train, and manage a team of supervisors, technicians, and other plant staff to achieve production targets and maintain high employee engagement.
• Collaborate with senior management to set operational goals, develop strategic plans, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage budgets and forecasts, including monitoring and controlling production costs and other expenses.
• Ensure maintenance of equipment and infrastructure to reduce downtime and optimize production capacity.
• Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and manage inventory levels effectively.
• Enhance operational systems, processes, and best practices for inventory management, order fulfillment, and cost reduction.
• Foster a culture of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency throughout the plant premises.
• Liaise with external stakeholders, including suppliers, government agencies, and clients, to ensure compliance and strengthen business relations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Industrial Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a managerial role in manufacturing, logistics, or packaging industries.
• Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a diverse team.
• Proficient in using manufacturing management software and systems.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain efficient operational processes.
• A strong commitment to safety standards and quality control.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Languages – French and/or Spanish is a plus.
