Full time position directly accountable to the Administrator that directs and prioritizes the work flow of the business office by supervising the employees, which may include: HR/Payroll, Accounts Payable, Receptionist.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bookkeeping/accounting experience through General Ledger
• Nursing home and third party insurance billing (Medicare/Medicaid) experience a plus

• Self-motivated and ability to multi-task
• Able to supervise an accounting and administrative office staff
• Proficient in Excel
• Ability to analyze financial data
• Proven organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Management functions:

• Oversees, hires, fires, evaluates and disciplines the following positions: HR/Payroll Coordinator, Accounts Payable Coordinator, Assistant Bookkeeper, Receptionists

Accounting Functions:

• Responsible for all general ledger activity through the preparation of financial statements. This includes AR, AP, cash receipts, cash disbursements, general journal entries, and payroll entries
• Monthly cash projections

Accounts Receivable responsibilities:

• Reconciliation of nursing home Census
• Prepares/oversees preparation of monthly billing for private accounts, Medicare, Medicaid & 3rd party Insurance and follows up on all collections with Assistant Bookkeeper
• Remains current on all Medicare, Medicaid and 3rd party insurance regulations for billing purposes
• Prepares quarterly Medicare Credit Balance Reports
