FAMILY HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER NEEDED FOR AN INPATIENT PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL, 40 HOURS PER WEEK, NON-PROFIT
47 adults and 12 child/adolescents
You will provide primary, acute, and/or long-term care; perform physical exams; diagnose and treat illnesses and other health problems; prescribe medications, perform medical tests and treatments; and collaborate with physicians and other health care providers to ensure that individuals receive appropriate, timely, and coordinated care.
Join our medical team that completes:
Day to day inpatient medical management of 47 adults (intermediate-care population) and 12 child/adolescents (acute population). About 15 total campus admission physicals each month. Educate and counsel individuals and families regarding illnesses, medications, tests, and treatment goals and procedures. Coordinate with community consultants and hospitals. Our facility does not use IVs or central access. Advocating for medical matters raised by our staff.
We are located in beautiful upstate New York’s Finger Lakes/Southern Tier Region.
Candidates must possess certification and current registration as a Nurse Practitioner in a specialty practice area by the New York State Education Department.
Candidates must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs. Failure to maintain licensure, certification and/or Medicaid/Medicare eligibility will result in the termination of employment.
