What’s the role?

As Financial Administrator you will be responsible for a variety of transactional duties and be the complete local finance function. This will include managing both the purchase and sales ledgers from start to finish, processing and raising invoices, dealing with supplier statement reconciliations and queries, processing payments and collecting cash from businesses and consumers, reconciling bank accounts and taking the accounts up to trial balance, as well as ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.

On a day-to-day basis you will be reporting to a local Office Manager in the USA, but on financial matters will take direction from the Financial Controller in the UK to help ensure compliance and that the company’s results are reliably reported at Group level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recording daily financial transactions and completing the posting process
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and petty cash
  • Prepare and send invoices to customers
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, follow up overdue payments
  • Maintaining robust records, and creating financial reports
  • Assist and advise with payroll, tax filings, and audits
  • Maintain and file financial documents and records
  • Comply with federal, state, and local financial and tax laws and regulations
  • Communicate with internal and external parties regarding financial matters
  • Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned

Your Background and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and an ERP system (SAP B1 an advantage)
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and procedures
  • Good knowledge of relevant local tax and compliance requirements
  • Ability to prepare and analyse financial reports and statements
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Reliable, trustworthy and hardworking
