ElmCo Industrial Services is Hiring a Millwright Near Van, OH

Essential Duties

· Repair and maintain industrial equipment conveying systems, and major machine centers

· Able to read and understand drawings and printed instructions

· Must be a self-starter who can work safely under high-pressure situations

· Understanding of preventive maintenance

· Hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical troubleshooting

· Good communication and documentation skills

· Safe work habits

· Use of hand and power tools

· Operation of shop and maintenance related equipment

· Understanding proper alignments of process equipment

· Knowledge of rigging and material handling

Skills & Qualifications

· Must have a high school diploma or GED

· Must have a valid drivers license

· Must have a minimum of 2 years verifiable work experience as a Millwright

· Must have experience in aggregate or agricultural millwright services.

· Must be capable of performing skilled labor for up to 12 hours a day.

· Must be able to work on equipment 50 feet in the air on occasion.

· Must be willing to travel for work with some overnight travel necessary.

· Must be dependable and operate with a high level of integrity.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

· Welding, Fabricating experience is a plus.

Other Information

· This is a non-exempt position.

· This position reports to a Foreman.

· This position has no direct reports.

Physical Requirements / Working Environment

· This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary (Monday – Sunday with some overnight work) and overtime is frequently required.

· Working environment is oftentimes in harsh elements (hot/humid and/or cold temperatures, rain, etc.) Industrial environments often have exposure to hazardous chemicals, moving heavy equipment, and other safety-sensitive hazards/risks. Must always be alert and able to safely perform the essential duties of the job without risking harm to oneself or others.

· While performing the duties of this job, you will:

o Frequently perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.

o Frequently use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, moving materials, and manipulating things.

Other physical requirements include;

o Static Strength — The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to (frequently - 25 pounds; routinely – 50 pounds).

o Arm-Hand Steadiness — The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.

o Manual Dexterity — The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

o Finger Dexterity — The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.

o Problem Sensitivity — The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.

o Extent Flexibility — The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.

o Oral Comprehension — The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

o Written Comprehension — The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.

o Rate Control — The ability to time your movements or the movement of a piece of equipment in anticipation of changes in the speed and/or direction of a moving object or scene.

o Selective Attention — The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted.

o Trunk Strength — The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.
