ELKHART COUNTY GOVERNMENTAL POSITION VACANCY NOTICE
YOUTH SPECIALIST I
DEPARTMENT: Elkhart County Judiciary-Court Services
HIRING RANGE: Morning Shift-$19.15-$21.28/hour based on
education and position related experience.
Evening/Midnight Shift-$20.19-$22.28/hour
based on education and position related
experience. Longevity pay after 3 years
BENEFITS OFFERED: Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance; Free

Pension,:13 Paid Holidays annually; Generous
Paid Vacation and Sick Time
POSITION TO BE FILLED: ASAP
HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: 40 hours/week (Schedule to be determined)
LOCATION OF POSITION: Elkhart
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Within County (please complete driving page on
application)
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides direct care supervision and program services to a designated group of residents.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school graduate or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice or human service delivery preferred.
- Must obtain proper certifications within first 6 months of employment and maintain those certifications
- Valid Drivers’ License
- Hepatitis B Vaccine Eligible
- Pre-employment background check, drug test, and physical exam required
