Assembler I (

Responsible for the safe, secure, and accurate performance / completion of tasks that are necessary to the production process.

Performs routine and repetitive assembly operations in an efficient manner while keeping safety and quality top priority.

Essential Job Functions

• Efficiently pack customer orders ensuring the correct parts and quantities are included.
• Select applicable packaging (box / container) for the order, insert applicable packaging material, construct and seal once completed.
• Affix packaging label to the outside of the package.
• Follow detailed instructions to meet safety and quality requirements.
• Comprehend and follow detailed verbal or written instructions, as well as diagrams, blueprints, and other technical documents.
• Identify any defective items and handle them according to established procedures.
• Be a team player who is willing to work with those in their assigned lines or groups and willing to flex to other areas to meet customer demand / order completion.
• Assist in physical inventories.
• Maintain a clean, neat, orderly, and safe work area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Additional responsibilities

• Ability to use tools to make or repair parts and products.
• Interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, or other verbal or written instructions such as standard work.
• Work in a team environment with other members of a line or group to assemble products.
• Meet all safety requirements of the company and industry.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand continuously for up to 10 hours per day.
• Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise.
• Interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, or other verbal or written instructions such as standard work
• Ability to read, understand, and follow directions / instructions.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Flexibility with work hours for overtime as scheduled.
