SHIPPING ASSOCIATE 1, LTL OPPORTUNITY FOR ELKAY INTERIOR SYSTEMS IN OUR DISTRIBUTION WAREHOUSE
FOND DU LAC, WISCONSIN
OPPORTUNITY SNAPSHOT :
Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisors / Leads, the Shipping Associate 1 packs and loads products and materials to be shipped by common carrier, contract carrier, or other delivery services and performs the final inspection process to ensure all shipments are accurate and shipped in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Our LTL (less than truckload) Shipping Associates will build crates, use a forklift to get product and will wrap, package and label product according to instructions for shipping.
A DAY IN THE LIFE :
Mark the product with identification numbers according to departmental procedures.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED :
Ability to read and interpret documents such as shipping reports, bills of lading, invoices, ship lists, and other related documents.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute percent.
REASONING ABILITY : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Also requires the ability to operate a forklift truck as well as a variety of power, air and hand tools, shrink wrapper.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
