OPPORTUNITY SNAPSHOT:

Under direction of the Senior Graphic Designer and supported by the Designer III, the level II designer completes Education, Retail, and Restaurant projects, revisions, presentations, and final print files.

Completes project tasks such as: ideation/concept creation, art package development, template layout & creation, file saving, file exports, revisions, and pre-press file preparation.

Follows the established standards of each division using design techniques, tools, and principles to create digital files using vector and raster images that translate into environmental art like, posters, murals, lightboxes, etc. within scope and budget of our clients’ expectations, specifications, and budget - on time and within the highest quality possible.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

• Conceptualizes, develops, and applies creative graphics and décor for Education, Retail, and Restaurant interiors to customer’s requests within the provided timeline and budget.
• Works and communicates daily with a team consisting of an interior designer, a project manager, and a salesperson to maintain project development, timelines, and budgets.
• Works directly with production team for best concept to reality development.
• Follows company file naming and organization standards.
• Assists team members to aid schedule conflicts.
• Coordinates with the Senior Graphic Lead to confirm departmental objectives, creative direction, and team standards.
• Maintains personal project schedule including preliminary projects, project revisions, files for production and other initiatives
• Develops knowledge on interior design plansets, materials, and workflow to work with design team for accurate art application.
• Communication and presenting skills to discuss client designs.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

• 3 years of graphic design experience, 2 or 4 year degree preferred.
• Intermediate understanding of design techniques, tools, and principles.
• Ability to manipulate vector art per request, includng stock imagery and original imagery.
• Intermediate proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite programs: Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign; others a plus.
• Fluent in PC programs such as: Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural interior drawings a plus.
• Knowledge of 3-Dimensional drawing programs such as: SketchUp, CAD, and/or Revit a plus.
• Proficiency in large format and standard pre-press print production is preferred.
