Position Purpose:
Plans, Develops and administers medical record system for the facility in accordance with State and Federal Regulations,as well as professional standards of practice and Company and policies and procedures.
Essential Functions: Organize, plan, and manage the Medical records Department in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Develope procedures to ensure records are properly completed, coded,signed and indexed.
Collect, assemble, check and file resident charts and records as required.
prepare folders and maintains records of newly admitted residents and discharge residents.
Organize discharge and Medicare record charts
performs monthly thinning and filinf of medical charts
Processess daily mail to be sent to physician for signatures
Participates in departmental budget planning and supplies monthly report to Administrator.
Coordinate Medical Records Consultant visits.
Understands and adheres to the guidelines of Resident Rights.
perform additional duties as assigned.
