ElizabethCoalition to House the Homeless is Hiring a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator Near Elizabeth, NJ

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Coordination:
  • Schedule and coordinate maintenance and repair work for properties, including routine maintenance, repairs, and emergency services.
  • Prioritize maintenance requests based on urgency and impact on tenants and property operations.
  • Communicate effectively with maintenance staff, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Identify and engage qualified vendors and contractors for various maintenance and repair services.
  • Obtain multiple quotes for larger projects and negotiate pricing and terms.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and monitor their performance to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to deadlines.
  • Inspections and Assessments:
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and areas for improvement.
  • Document inspection findings and create action plans to address maintenance issues and safety concerns.
  • Coordinate periodic assessments of property systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulations.
  • Budget Management:
  • Assist in developing and managing maintenance budgets for properties.
  • Monitor expenses related to maintenance and repairs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and report budget variances to management.
  • Recommend capital improvements and maintenance projects based on property needs and budget constraints.
  • Tenant Relations:
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants and address concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Communicate maintenance schedules, service disruptions, and other relevant information to tenants in a clear and timely manner.
  • Foster positive relationships with tenants by providing exceptional customer service and resolving maintenance issues effectively.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
