Job Summary :
We are seeking a Garden Center Merchandiser to join our team. As a Garden Center Merchandiser, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing displays and maintaining inventory control in our garden center.
Your role will involve providing excellent customer service, ensuring product availability, and contributing to the overall success of our garden center.
Duties :
- Create attractive displays using visual design techniques and following planograms
- Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels
- Ensure accurate pricing and signage for all products
- Assist customers with product selection and provide exceptional customer service
- Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the garden center
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth operation of the garden center
- Assist with training and development of new employees
- Contribute to remodeling efforts as needed
Experience :
- Previous experience in retail sales or merchandising preferred
- Familiarity with cash register operations and inventory control
- Knowledge of visual design principles and planograms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
