The employee will be assisting the Food Safety/ Process Controls Department in a variety of ongoing research projects, food safety studies and day to day activities pertaining to Elite Spices preventive control procedures and cultural development. Applicants should have an interest in biological and food science which includes evaluating agricultural supply chains, pathogen reduction technologies and risk assessments. The position is a combination of office and warehouse work environment with minimal off-site work assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and development of programs, processes and techniques pertaining to manufacturing spices
Assist in compilation and refinement of data from a variety of sources
Assist in production of scientific research reports
Preparation of presentations to project teams, regulatory agencies, and technical group
Environmental and product compliance testing and reporting
Skills / Qualifications
Associates or Bachelors degree in a science-related undergraduate or similar field
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to support technical and non-technical staff in organizing information
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project)
Ability to complete assignments within the allocated timeframe
Ability to work independently or with staff in a team environment
