Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined Warehouse Maintenance Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist our Maintenance Technicians with various tasks related to the upkeep and repair of our warehouse equipment and facilities. This is a hands-on position that offers an opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and gain valuable mechanical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Facility Manager with preventative maintenance tasks on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, Delivery Trucks, and other machinery.
• Perform basic repairs such as changing light fixtures, replacing filters, lubricating moving parts, washing the trucks, checking tire pressure, battery charges, and oil levels, and assisting with TDOT Inspection/Precheck lists.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and report issues to the Facility Manager.
• Clean and maintain warehouse equipment and facilities, ensuring a safe and functional environment.
• Maintain grounds around the warehouse ensuring areas are safe for all incoming/outgoing traffic.
• Assist with moving and installing equipment.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools, and notify appropriate management about ordering replacements as needed.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude, and work effectively as part of a team.
• May also be asked during down time to help assist the Shipping/Receiving Department with unloads/loads of product.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of mechanical principles and tools.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
