Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Assistant. As an Assistant, you will provide support and assistance in various administrative and clinical tasks. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with autism and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and maintain accurate data on client progress and behaviors
- Assist with medical terminology and documentation related to client care
- Collaborate with social workers and other professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Provide crisis management support as needed
- Work closely with individuals with autism to promote their independence and well-being
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in handling client information
- Assist in maintaining medical records and documentation
- Administer medications under the supervision of healthcare professionals
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors
Skills:
- Strong data collection and analysis skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to autism and developmental disabilities
- Experience in social work or related field is preferred
- Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and effectively
- Understanding of working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations for maintaining client confidentiality
- Proficiency in medical records management and documentation
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques
