Elite is seeking a skilled and adaptable Medical Assistant to join our team on a per diem basis, providing crucial support across multiple clinics located in Tulare, Kings, and Fresno counties. As a Medical Assistant - Clinic Floater, you will be responsible for offering comprehensive front and back-office assistance to ensure the smooth functioning of our healthcare facilities. This role offers flexibility in your schedule, allowing you to let us know when you are available to work throughout the week.

• Bilingual English/Spanish required (read, write and speak fluently).
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Proficient in medication administration, capillary and venipuncture.
• Excellent patient care skills, including the ability to provide compassionate and empathetic care.
• Familiarity with basic life support (BLS) procedures.
• One year experience working in a medical clinic or family practice setting is required.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills, with ability to adapt to working in different locations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Perform administrative and clinical tasks to support healthcare professionals
• Obtain and record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information
• Assist with patient examinations and procedures
• Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment
• Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
• Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and self-care techniques
• Schedule appointments, manage medical records, and handle insurance forms
