Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience equivalent to: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; and/or experience in the similar to the above Duties and Responsibilities. Ability to operate in a dynamic environment in the absence of direct supervision
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree: Logistics or related field preferred.
5 years or more experience with DOT fleet compliance (federal, state and local)
5 years or more of supervisory experience in a transportation environment.
5 years or more experience managing driver safety programs. and Skills:
Must have excellent customer service skills/verbal and written communication skills. Good English communication skills (both written and oral).
Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and supporting organizations verbally and in writing.
Proficient with Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. Demonstrate a willingness to learn improved skills.
Must possess the highest possible standard of ethics and conduct.
Demonstrate good organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills, able to meet deadlines.
Take initiative and be self-motivated, always looking for opportunities to improve.
Physical Requirements:
This position will be domiciled in Ontario Ca .
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, push and pull objects up to 25 lbs.
Must be able to work in varying and dynamic schedules to meet operational demand and have the ability to meet flexible schedules from time to time

Job Description:
Elite Forces is currently looking for an experience DOT Safety Director out of Ontario CA. The objections of the position is to ensure compliance with all DOT rules / regulations but not limited to testing and maintenance of records. DOT Safety director ensures all drivers are properly trained in safety, accident prevention, customer service, delivery procedures and DOT compliance. Participate in the review and selection of new drivers and creates , maintains proper on boarding training and evaluation processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops, executes, and maintains effective (driver) safety training programs in compliance with OSHA, FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) and company policies including annual physicals, drug screening, annual reviews and driver licenses to comply with all state, federal and local laws. Participates in regulatory audits.
Designs and directs programs specific to reducing accidents through safety training, skills training, proper job instruction, new employee indoctrination, job safety analysis and innovative technology.
Ensures driver logs are completed timely, reviews logs for compliance with Federal DOT regulations. Trains drivers in proper usage of electronic logging systems in trucks. Provides support for electronic logging problem resolution. Coaches, counsel’s drivers for corrective action as necessary with HR involvement to ensure consistency.
Issues corrective action.
Investigates and tracks all accidents to meet both company and FMCSR requirements associated including post-accident drug/alcohol testing, post-accident re-training. Tracks costs and injuries associated with accidents.
Develops and implements safety programs designed to reduce or eliminate accidents or injury.
Reviews driver applications, interviews driver candidates, participates in the selections process, administers required pre-employment road tests to DOT specifications.
Ensures proper training for new drivers. Maintains all required documentation.
