Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Laborer to join our team. As a Laborer, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to construction and maintenance projects. This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to perform manual labor.

We are an established excavation, concrete, & paving company looking for highly skilled, dedicated, and motivated laborers. Applicant must have a minimum of 2 year of civil construction/excavation laboring experience. Applicant must be able to shovel, rake, lift heavy objects, carry pipe, work in trenches, mix mortar, setup dewatering pumps, operate compaction equipment, and all other excavation related tasks. Applicant must be able to understand basic layout and understand the difference between tenths/inches. Applicant must have basic understanding of underground utility installations for storm, sewer, water, gas, and electric/comm. Applicant must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation. Applicant must be able to commute to project sites throughout Connecticut. Applicant must be able to work M-Fri, 7am-4pm. Applicant must be able to work OT & Saturdays as required and needed. Applicant must be trainable, receptive, adaptable, able to receive direction, and able to receive constructive criticism as applicable . Applicant must be able to pass drug & alcohol screening and background check. Pay based on experience, attitude, willingness, and work ethic. Duties:
- Operate small gas powered machinery such as road saws, plate compactors, trench rollers, demo saws, generators, pumps, light towers, etc
- Perform manual excavation/shoveling, digging tasks, grading/raking, jack hammering, mortaring/cement, and all other sitework related tasks
- Assist in assembling drainage pipe, drainage structures, water pipe, sewer pipe, etc
- Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks
- Perform general maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment

Experience:
- Previous experience in excavation, sitework, and civil construction
- Proficient in physically demanding tasks
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operations
- Ability to follow directions for a safe, clean, and efficient work environment
- Strong knowledge of construction safety protocols
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods of time

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
