Elite Diversity Staffing is Hiring a Main Office School Assistant Near Detroit, MI

IMMEDIATE HIRING!
Pay Range: Based on Experience

Summary/Objectives:
The Main Office Assistant serves as a primary source of administrative support for the school and is the first line of contact for parents, staff members, students, and visitors. As such, the main office assistant provides front desk administrative support to the District, coordinates with others to complete task as needed, and helps to respond to the needs and concerns of parents, staff members, students and visitors.
Essential Functions:
1. Professionally answer telephones; provide school information to potential parents/parents, take accurate phone messages, transfer calls to appropriate staff in a timely manner.
2. Professionally interact with school parents, students, staff, vendors and the customers while performing various tasks.
3. Manage and maintain main office space.
4. Welcome and direct visitors, and maintain accurate visitor log.
5. Provide visitor badges to all school visitors.
6. Meet scheduled deadlines and timelines.
7. Locate student data using MiStar student information system.
8. Sort and distribute incoming mail and faxes to appropriate staff member in a timely manner.
9. Create various forms of correspondence (i.e. memorandums, parent letters, flyers, etc….)
10. Stamp all outgoing mail with the proper postage.
11. Request assistance from maintenance and/or security for specific facility needs using radio or phone.
12. Maintain school office equipment in proper working condition (i.e. copier, fax machine, walkie talkie radio, phone, postage machine).
Specialized Education:Training, knowledge, experience and certification(s) required.
1. Experience with computers and proficient with word processing software and spreadsheets.

7. Experienced with proofreading documents including emails.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. Daily attire is business professional. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers/scanners.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk to hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee will periodically lift up to 10 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position; days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Travel:
This position may require periodic travel to other schools within the district.
Required Education and Experience:
1. High School Diploma required
2. 3-5 years of administrative or equivalent experience
