We are seeking an A/V Installer to join our team!
The candidate will possess skills and abilities to install, diagnose and service complex audio/video systems in a variety of client environments.
The ability to work independently or as part of a team to install and troubleshoot A/V systems is required. This is a full-time position. Most work is performed Monday thru Friday from 9-6 with the potential need for some evening and weekend work. Available for occasional travel and overnight stay. Paid holidays and vacation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform installation tasks for audio/video projects including but not limited to:
Diagnosis structural/room interior for efficient and optimum installations
Crimp and terminate audio and video cables
Prewire and retrofit low voltage cables, trim-out, equipment rack setup, media rooms, speaker installs, control systems interface.
Projection systems- Projector and screen support structure installations
Test point to point functionality of systems
Install and assist in programming Savant and Control 4 automation systems
Review equipment list with customer upon delivery.
Communicate daily job site status and task lists to the Field Installation Supervisor and Schedulers.
Maintain professional work appearance and outstanding customer interaction
This job requires driving to various client sites.
Required Qualifications:
Experienced in troubleshooting, programming, and deployment of smart home automation systems including Savant and Control 4
Knowledge of A/V Distribution and modulation, Matrix Switching
Experience with A/V and Networking Racks setup and buildout
Ability to set up routers and IP based products
Experience in running conduit, wire, wire termination, and installing media devices
Up to date with smartphone apps and integration
Ability to use power tools safely and efficiently to achieve optimal results in the finished product
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of Lutron QS & RadioRa2
Experience installing automated shades and drapes.
Knowledge of RTI and URC automation.
Experience reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video, and control
Experience working on construction sites, interfacing contractors, clients, and other trades
Effectively communicate with employees, customers, and colleagues
Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
Basic computer knowledge
Ability to lift heavy items (50lbs )
Ability to crawl through attics to run wire when needed
Clean and Valid Driver’s License
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer
Must be drug-free.
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of 1 years of audio/video installation experience
Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
