Summary

Manages inventory with purchaser for production needs. Operates grinder, grinding new profiles and re-sharpening current profiles matching production needs and goals while maintaining quality.

Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

1. Represent the company well in appearance by having appropriate Elipticon attire.

2. Communicate with Team Leads, Machine Operators and Order Entry on priority work orders for the day.

3. Read work orders and grind appropriate tooling for the correct application.

4. Operate grinder accurately to ensure quality tooling.

5. Maintain an accurate inventory.

6. Communicate with Purchaser and 3rd party companies grinding tooling.

7. Maintain and clean machines and work area.

8. Assist setting up tooling for Molder Operators

9. Drawing of profiles in CAD program

10.Flow to the need of others when available.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). No experience required but must have a valid Driver’s License.

Language Ability

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability

Ability to calculate fractions and decimals. Ability to read a ruler/tape measure. Ability to apply concepts of basic math.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
