These will be at the forefront of delivering treatment to underserved communities by removing barriers to services and by establishing meaningful and trusting relationships with each individual and family. Our CBHC services include team based care, rapid response and flexible services that will enable us to serve as an entry point for timely, person-centered, mental health and addiction treatment on an urgent and ongoing basis for adults, children and families.

The Urgent Care Nurse Manager will supervise a team of nurses and medical assistants in the provision of medical/psychiatric supports, intervention, and services for people served in the community that are impacted by mental health and/or any substance use disorders. Working side-by-side with other staff you will provide interventions that ensure a continued delivery of medical care, monitoring, coordination and supports.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct staff in providing medical/psychiatric supports, intervention, and services 
  • Provide side by side interventions to clients that focus on problem solving, skills training, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement
  • Supervise staff providing side by side interventions to deliver medical care, monitoring, coordination and supports. This shall include outreaching consumers when they have missed appointments and attempts at providing side by side sessions at times convenient for the consumer
  • Participate in daily Team Huddles and Team Meetings
  • Complete service notes related to all contacts with individuals and collaterals on the day of contact and supervise staff in the completion of documentation. Ensure that documentation is written is measurable, observable, objective and utilizes clinical terms
  • Manage at least quarterly medical screening of all assigned individuals on the team to include weight, height, BMI and other aspects related to metabolic syndrome to establish a baseline
  • Manage and supervise staff in coordinate medical care, obtaining lab work, receiving medications, medication reconciliation and communication with providers
  • Manage and direct staff in identifying individual preference for making changes as applicable in regarding medical conditions, nutrition, smoking cessation, exercise or other areas related to overall health, utilizing motivational interviewing techniques
  • Manage and supervise staff in the participation in the development of treatment plans for each individual in which they are a member of their treatment team
  • Ensure that treatment goals are culturally competent, strength based, realistic, attainable and promote recovery

Qualifications:

  • Licensed registered nurse in Massachusetts with at least a master’s degree, bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree in nursing
  • 2 years of experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Must have the ability to work on a team that provides flexible community-based services
  • Possess knowledge of psychiatric medications, psychiatric and medical treatment, medication policies and procedures, and have the ability to manage overall delivery of medical needs to clients

Salary: $90K - $110K per year (Dependant on experience)

Monday-Friday 9a-5p (in-person)
