We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Writer to join our team. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation for our products and services.

Responsibilities:

• Research highly technical subject matter, organize information from multiple sources, and express technical information in written form for a wide audience.
• Write technical copy for various types of documents for programs/projects of similar complexity.
• Apply concepts for technical writing based on engineering drawings, technical information, consultations, and other sources.
• Produce defense acquisition documentation, user manuals, training manuals, and other documentation for DoD electronic equipment and systems.
• Interpret engineering and maintenance drawings and operational procedures.
• Apply technical manual standard NSA DS-89 to work products.
• Provide expert oversight of technical writing and editing for all phases of acquisition and technical documentation.
• Independently prepare and maintain highly complex systems, programming, and operations documentation.
• Act as project leader for projects with complex or voluminous documentation.
• Review work products of others for compliance with technical manual NSA Data Standard (DS)-89.
• Demonstrate attention to detail, poise with grammar and its application, and interpretation of technical terminology during meetings and planning sessions.
• Orient oneself and maintain situational awareness of an IT environment, identifying differentiating factors and technical terms relevant to building next-generation IT services.

Qualifications:

• Six (6) years of experience as a Technical Writer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university required.
• Additional four (4) years of Technical Writer experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $131,000.00 per year
