Eleven Recruiting is hiring a CNC Machinist (2nd shift) for one of our largest aerospace manufacturing clients sitting onsite in Simi Valley, CA.
This position specializes in the precision machining of sheet metal components essential for flight structures and assemblies.
Operating a variety of machining tools, including 3-axis CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, and drill presses, the Production Machinist produces intricate parts vital for the operation.
This role involves setting up and operating machinery to perform milling, drilling, cutting, and other machining operations on sheet metal components, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities :
Set up and operate a variety of machining tools, including 3-axis CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, and drill presses, to perform semi-repetitive specialized machine operations.
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine machining requirements for aerospace components.
Adjust machine settings and tool offsets as necessary to achieve desired machining results.
Monitor machine performance and make real-time adjustments to machining parameters to maintain quality and productivity.
Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to aerospace standards and specifications.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery, including cleaning, lubrication, and tool maintenance.
Adhere to safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Provide technical assistance to production associates and collaborate with team members to address production challenges and implement process improvements.
Requirements :
5 years or more of relevant experience in manufacturing operations, with a focus on machining tools and CNC machine operation.
Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments for part inspection.
