NatureandScopeoftheJob

• The position reports to the Director of Organic Strategy.
• Work in a client-facing role with client stakeholders and agency partners to drive recognizable results with the best and most up-to-date SEO tactics.
• Run and maintain multiple SEO projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Develop and execute detailed SEO strategies to improve organic site performance, visibility, and conversion rate optimization within competitive search engine results pages, amongst other key performance indicators.
• Work with varied technical website technologies and across various competitive industries to conduct site audits, health checks and implement latest tactics to high performance and visibility in search results.
• Conduct SEO research, develop recommendations, and manage implementations that will make up the most effective SEO strategies available to clients.
• Perform actionable technical audits, keyword research, backlink audits, competitive analyses, gap analyses, and other SEO deliverables in collaboration with E10K team members to maximize client ROI and performance.
• Provide optimization recommendations for blog content, existing site content, and metadata.
• Monitor and analyze site performance using SEO and site analytics tools.
• Follow SEO trends and stay current with news, technologies, and best practices.

The SEO Strategist must be able to provide creative solutions in a competitive and constantly changing technical discipline. This position requires an analytical problem solver who can accurately define, strategize, and implement a plan successfully. In addition, the SEO Strategist should understand research data to recognize trends and shifting conditions in the industry or methodologies. In the course of daily work, the SEO Strategist will make independent decisions relating to their assigned projects. This includes developing tactics and campaigns that drive business goals, including audience growth, engagement, and reach. They must appropriately respond to opportunities, problems, situations, and circumstances that are not always foreseen.

Professional Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the search engine optimization industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, Communications, or another marketing-focused field.
• Solid understanding and interest in how organic search fits into the marketing mix, and the power it has in digital strategies.
• Extensive experience with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Bing Webmaster Tools, SEM Rush, MOZ, ahrefs, etc.
• Knowledge of HTML, PHP, CSS, and general site code and hosting principles.
• Experience working with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Magento, Drupal, or Hubspot.
• Vast knowledge of ranking factors and search engine optimization practices.
• Highly proficient in communicating and juggling tasks within multiple collaborative tools such as Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Office 365, InVision, and project management platforms like Asana.

Soft Skills Required

• Strong analytical and time-management skills, solution-oriented mindset, and proactive thinking
• Comfortable in a client-facing role with effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence and assertiveness; ability to build respect and credibility with colleagues and clients
• Proven experience working both independently and in a collaborative environment.
