The Role:

ElevateBio is looking for a motivated Co-op to join the Cellular Process Development (CPD) team at BaseCamp. You will work alongside a Scientist on the CPD team towards automation of a T cell culture process, including evaluation of new technologies and instruments. You will be responsible for experiment planning, execution, data analysis and presentation. You will present project findings to the team periodically and at the end of the co-op.

Here's What You'll Do:

You will gain experience on the following:

General laboratory techniques including aseptic technique and primary cell culture.
Cell phenotyping using flow cytometry.
Cell processing instruments including cell isolation, wash and formulation for process automation.
Cross-functional communication.
Data analysis, presentation, and technical writing.

You will be responsible for the following:

Review necessary training documentation and prior literature to plan detailed experiments.
Perform hands-on lab work and record data in an electronic lab notebook.
Analyze data using relevant digital tools.
Draft experimental summary and report.
Support project related team activities.
Present project findings to the team at the end of co-op.

Requirements:

Pursuing a master's degree in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry or an equivalent field.
Prior experience with aseptic technique and cell culture preferred.
Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
Highly motivated to learn and contribute to the team.
