Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, contractors are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.

Responsible for the administrative, coaching, and leadership roles that make Scrum development/delivery possible.

This leader is the single point of contact for the overall development status. They manage various end-to-end ServiceNow projects including operational development backlogs. A single point of contact for overall project status; often referred to as a project manager in organizations employing a waterfall methodology or scrum master for those employing an agile methodology.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Works with business partners to identify and implement multiple complex technical systems and/or products of varying sizes.
• Manages large systems and/or products.
• Collaborates and stays engaged with the delivery team.
• Acts as a buffer between the team and process overhead, so each team member can focus on the timely delivery of software.
• Shields the team from interruptions and removes obstacles that may impact the delivery of the product.
• Guides the team operations by facilitating ceremonies (e.g. daily standup, sprint planning) and instilling Agile principles into daily activities to ensure smooth functioning of the delivery team.
• Facilitates internal and external communications (e.g. task coordination, progress tracking/reporting, dependency management).
• Ensure team is well-informed on internal and external initiatives and activities.
• Keeps external stakeholders, collaborates, and other interested parties are well-informed on team progress and activities.
• To ensure smooth delivery of team, tracks and removes obstacles and barriers that may prevent progress.
• Coaches and mentors other Scrum Master around Agile methodologies; develops training plans.
• Develops requirement documents; develops approval matrix.
• Identifies team training and tool needs.
• Defines, recommends, and secures contractual agreements for technical services and products.
• Coordinates requirements, schedules implementation and post-implement actives, and develops service-level agreements for vendor partners and global resources firms.
• Defines quality gates for each sprint; defines critical success factors.
• Subject matter expert for product and program management related tools and processes.
• Acts as primary point of contact for customer resources, project activities, and escalations as required to achieve expected outcomes.
• Plans project scope and establishes measurable goals.
• Establishes the project’s timelines and manages the project, including escalations, to complete the project on schedule and within budget.
• Works closely with the ServiceNow engagement manager and all other team members to plan, manage, and deliver releases.
• Attends project governance meetings and scrum meetings, if applicable.
• Organizes the project kickoff and process workshop(s).
• Facilitates activities through training, testing, go-live, and post go-live support.

Requirements:

• Requires BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with IT focus degree.
• Minimum of 7 years experience implementing Agile methodologies; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• Preferred CSPO or equivalent.
• Preferred experience within small sized Agile implementations (e.g. 7 or more teams).
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem solving skills required.

Job Type: Contract with potential to hire.

Additional Details:

• Schedule is flexible, but traditional 8-5 M-F is likely.
• 1-2 days a week in office.
• Tuesday required in office.
• Locations: candidates can reside in Atlanta, Indianapolis, or Cincinnati. Within 50 miles of those three. ATL is the #1 preferred.
