Medical Coordinator
Are you looking for a position with part-time work from home hours and flexible schedule? Working as the Medical Coordinator at Elements might be the right spot for you! We are looking to hire immediately and would love to connect with you.
Elements is a locally owned wilderness therapy program specializing in therapeutic expeditions and adventures for teen and adult clients struggling with difficult challenges and life circumstances.
Schedule:
- Every other weekend on call from Friday 5PM MST to Monday 8AM MST.
- Every other Tuesday help in person with Field Assessments. (This is driving out to the Swell or Forest to visit clients and ensure they are taken care of.)
- Flexible Schedule Available
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Medical Director on certain issues that pop up and be in frequent communication with updates, further questions, and direction.
- Potentially meeting a client at the ER to ensure we have the correct medical direction.
- Be on-call for the groups to talk through medical concerns or situations the Field Mentors may have.
- When appropriate, advise treatment solutions.
- With each medical concern the MC will follow-up with the DOC, Medical Director and client’s therapist on issue and what medical direction should be followed. (This will range from scrapes, infection, colds, sprains and strains to client evacuations.)
Pay and Benefits:
- On-call shifts $150 per day
- Field Assessments $25 per hour
- Expected to have a smartphone for work. Phone stipend available based on shifts worked.
- Works part-time/variable hours, and/or isn’t expected to do much from home besides answer the phone.
Qualifications:
- Must be legally able to work in the U.S.
- Must be 25 years or older
- Minimum of EMT license or higher equivalent
- Must be reliable to drive to Huntington and the field area
