Job Summary

Elements Connect is looking for a Front-End Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping the user interface and experience of our web applications. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain user-centric solutions that exceed our clients' expectations.

Responsibilities

• Front-End Development: Lead the development of web applications using React, React-Query, and Next.js, ensuring the highest quality user interfaces and experiences.
• Component Library: Create and maintain a reusable component library to streamline development and maintain a consistent look and feel across applications.
• Performance Optimization: Implement performance optimizations to deliver fast-loading and responsive web applications.
• State Management: Utilize React-Query for efficient data fetching, caching, and state management.
• Responsive Design: Develop responsive web designs that provide an excellent user experience on various devices and screen sizes.
• Accessibility: Ensure web applications are accessible and compliant with web accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, identify improvements, and mentor junior team members.
• Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI designers, back-end engineers, and product managers to translate design specifications into functional and visually appealing web applications.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Write unit tests and conduct thorough testing to ensure robust and bug-free code.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation for code, architecture, and development processes

Requirements

• 5 years in front-end development, with a strong focus in React.
• Proven experience as a Front-End Engineer with a focus on React, React-Query, and Next.js.
• Experience with TypeScript and RESTFul API.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality web applications with complex user interfaces.
• Experience with responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Knowledge of state management libraries and patterns.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and deliver results in an extremely fast-paced startup environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative and a passion for learning and staying up-to-date with new technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with popular UI frameworks (e.g., Kendo-UI or Material-UI)
• Experience with Next.js and Jest
• Knowledge of backend technologies such as Python and PHP
• Previous experience working in a startup environment, preferably in high-growth and fast-paced settings
