Job Summary:

The Production Line Worker works alongside other Shop Operations team members and reports to the Shop Lead. This role is responsible for executing on assigned manufacturing and fulfillment tasks throughout our production process. You will deliver rough and finished product parts as assigned to you by our Shop Lead that meet quality, accuracy, and timeliness standards for our DIY Projects. You will also be asked to support our Fulfillment team on an as-needed basis to package and support the delivery of DIY projects and supplies to our partner sites.

You will have an opportunity to learn, contribute to, and improve manufacturing operations & processes, safety procedures, and shop organization. You will gain experience and finesse your expertise across a broad range of shop tools all while contributing to the very projects that youth in our community will have an opportunity to learn how to assemble. This role is extremely hands-on, and you will partner with the broader production team to manufacture parts from cabinet-grade plywood to bring our projects from conception to delivery.

Your onboarding process will consist of:

  • 1:1 training with the Shop team
  • Shadowing existing employees from the Shop and Fulfillment teams

Requirements

  • 0 - 2 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of or desire to learn all shop tools
  • Proficient understanding / application of measuring tools
  • Basic shop safety & cleaning skills
  • Eye for detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work well with others and proactive communication skills
  • Ability to lift heavy materials (over 50lbs)
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable form of transportation
  • Available Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Occasional Saturdays (with advanced notice)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
