We are seeking a skilled Grinding Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating grinding machines to produce precision components according to specifications. This position requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

1st shift

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate grinding machines to grind surfaces of metal workpieces to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine grinding requirements
• Select appropriate grinding tools, wheels, and fixtures based on workpiece material and specifications
• Measure workpieces using precision instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy
• Monitor machine operations and adjust settings as needed to maintain quality and productivity
• Inspect finished workpieces for defects and ensure they meet quality standards
• Perform routine maintenance on grinding machines and keep work area clean and organized

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Grinding Machinist or similar role
• Strong knowledge of grinding techniques, tools, and equipment
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
