How is This Role Important to Our Work?
We are looking for passionate, hard-working software developers who can help us build innovative technology experiences that will support BlueCross's mission to inspire change, transform care and improve health for the people we serve. The ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for the development, configuration, and administration of the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in ServiceNow development practices and a commitment to improving business processes through technology.
A Day in the Life:
  • Design, develop, and implement solutions on the ServiceNow platform to meet business needs.
  • Configure and customize ServiceNow applications and facilitate rollout of new applications and modules.
  • Develop and modify ServiceNow workflows, forms, lists, business rules, UI components, web services, tables, and menus.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to develop technical solutions that deliver meaningful business outcomes.
  • Ensure the latest ServiceNow best practices and industry standards are utilized within the development process.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform, including troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure complete and accurate record-keeping within ServiceNow.
Nice to Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Knowledge of agile, DevOps, IT Service Management, and other development and support processes and methodologies.
  • Certified ServiceNow Administrator (CSA) and/or Certified ServiceNow Application Developer (CAD) preferred.
  • Prototype design and implementation.
Required Skills and Experiences
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in ServiceNow development and administration.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other relevant web technologies.
  • Experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HR, and CSM.
  • Strong understanding of system and ITSM core configurations in ServiceNow.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Role Designation:
Hybrid Remote
Role designation definition: Teleworking is working full time remote. Hybrid is a combination of working onsite and remotely. Onsite is full-time onsite.
