We are seeking an experienced Science Content Marketing Writer who will play a pivotal role in producing compelling, audience-driven content for web, social media, email, and print channels that follows Element Biosciences brand voice. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who is passionate about acting as a project manager and content creator, supporting the execution of marketing campaigns with team members and evaluating the campaigns to improve future efforts. We are looking for candidates with a solid background in working independently for most tasks and is encouraged to propose plans and ideas to support campaign objectives. A life sciences education and prior experience in a content marketing writing role is a must. This role will report to the Sr Director, Commercial Marketing and will be a San Diego based role.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute content strategies to support marketing initiatives, including collateral, website content, blog posts, social media posts, and promotional materials
• Write compelling and engaging content that effectively communicates our brand message and value proposition to target audiences
• Write a variety of marketing content including web content, emails, social media posts, blog posts and collateral
• Collaborate with marketing and design teams to create multimedia content (e.g., videos, infographics) that enhances our marketing efforts
• Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure timely delivery of content across various channels
• Plan and promote the blog channel to engage prospects and drive awareness of Element
• Conduct research to identify relevant topics, trends, and keywords for content creation
• Monitor and analyze the performance of content initiatives, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization
• Work closely with other departments, including product management, marketing, sales, and customer support, to align content strategies with business objectives
• Collaborate with external partners, such as agencies and freelancers, as needed to supplement internal resources

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline is required with a minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing content creation, or a related role
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
• Ability to write both short form content like emails, social media posts, and blog posts and long form science-heavy content like application notes and white papers
• Strong understanding of scientific concepts and terminology, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, accessible content
• Experience with SEO best practices, and digital marketing tools
• Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Base Compensation Pay Range:

• $119,000 - $156,000

In addition to base compensation noted above, you will be eligible for stock options, discretionary annual bonus, no cost health insurance plans, 401k with company match, and flexible paid time off. 

Please note: Base compensation will depend on multiple factors, including geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
