Our client, a reputable commercial print business located in White Plains, NY, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pressman to join their team. As a Pressman, you will play a crucial role in operating our offset press, working on offline machines, and providing backup support on the digital press when needed. This contracted position offers a laid-back atmosphere in a commercial print business located in close proximity to White Plains, NY.

Responsibilities

• Operate the offset press efficiently and effectively.
• Work on offline machines to assist in various printing tasks.
• Provide backup support on the digital press as required.
• Follow production schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Maintain quality control by checking colors, alignment, and print quality.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth production processes.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of printing equipment.
• Assist in training new team members on press operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with printing presses is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Knowledge of CMYK and colors is a plus.
• Ability to work in a flexible schedule, with longer hours during peak periods (late July and August).
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed, with compensation for overtime hours.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks.
• Physically fit to handle setup tasks and monitor production runs.
