The purpose of this position is to machine, magnetize, stabilize and measure magnetic values of rare earth magnet material to meet customer requirements

• Optimize safety/minimize risk
  • Wear required PPE.
  • Adhere to required safety precautions.
• Read, understand and follow work instructions (WI) and process control standards (PCS)
  • Access Paradigm to review and/or print WI or PCS
  • Recommend revisions and updates to the WI and PCS
• Interpret customer drawings
  • Verify the drawing part number matches the manufacturing router
  • Review the drawing to obtain specified dimensions, features, tolerances and customer requirements.
• Set up machinery
  • Install proper tooling.
  • Select proper measuring equipment and calibrate as required. (May include optical comparator, micrometer, gauge blocks and pins)
  • Select proper fixtures.
  • Select appropriate program where applicable.
• Maintain machinery
  • Clean and organize machinery and work area.
  • Fill the coolant or oil in the machine daily.
  • Perform required preventative maintenance.
  • Request reorder of consumables as needed.

• Verify and accurately record data into ERP Computer System and manufacturing router as required by work instructions
• Perform in-process inspection as required.
• Adhere to EEC Escalation Policy.

• Use your best efforts and full capability to achieve the outputs assigned.
• When circumstances make it likely that outputs cannot be achieved, or that more could be done, inform your manager in time for adaptive action to be taken.
• Advise your manager when you have ideas you believe might be helpful.
• Seek special dispensation from your manager when you are unable to work at your best.
