Electrical Consultants, Inc. This position's responsibilities include performing Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) work for the physical layout of substation and switchyard facilities, including plan and elevation views, details, developing design calculations, creating complete and accurate equipment and material lists, and performing quality control reviews of design work.
Minimum Requirements: College degree in an acceptable curriculum or two-year technical certificate in computer-aided drafting/design; 2 years of electric substation design experience, including schematics, wiring diagrams, physical layout and facility design required. The successful candidate must be skilled in the use, operation, and maintenance of AutoCAD. Experience with Microstation and 3D design software is a plus. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills. The successful candidate must be results oriented and capable of completing design assignments with minimal direction, be effective in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills and be able to interface with team members and clients. This position requires a strong work ethic and professionalism with attention to detail, quality, schedule, and budget. The successful applicant may be subject to client mandated drug and background checking. Occasional travel/driving will be required.
