Electrical Automation Services is Hiring a Thermoforming Maintenance Technician Near Bedford, IL
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with performing changeovers with minimal downtime
Ensure all products are running at standard production rate for assigned shift
Develop, implement, and execute programs to improve product quality and line efficiencies.
Ability to operate and troubleshoot processes and equipment at an elevated level to resolve complex issues while supporting plant maintenance, automation, and tooling teams
As a Maintenance Technician, you will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical wiring, and electronic controllers if necessary.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will tear down and replace defective component units and parts such as bearings, motors, servo motors, PLCs, gears, electronic drives, clutches, brakes, belts, chains, and electrical parts.
Maintenance Technician performs all preventive maintenance checks, as required.
Works from specifications on blueprints, drawings, and layouts.
Repair equipment to maximum efficiencies, which meet or exceed productivity improvements and waste reduction requirements.
Technical Knowledge:
Process expert in sheet extrusion, forming, and trimming of thermoformed products.
Good understanding of mechanical and electrical principles and applications.
Ability to operate thermoforming and extrusion equipment.
Demonstrates knowledge of company-specific product, material, and/or production technological methods and procedures and capabilities of machines and equipment in manufacturing facilities.
Demonstrates advanced mechanical aptitude and abilities.
Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot and efficiently identify appropriate courses of action through leveraging problem-solving activities.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum five years relevant experience (or similar combination of education and experience).
Experience in plastics processing, including forming and extrusion required
Experience working with machinery
Understanding of tooling, machining, and material flow practices for extrusion and thermoforming
Strong interpersonal skills to be able to train, communicate, and lead effectively
