Deburr Technician Position Overview

Operate a grinding machine to perform grinding and/or polishing operations on product parts where setup methods, operational sequences and production tooling have been determined by grinding shop practice. Follow verbal instructions or detailed information from blueprints/layout sheets to perform basic product grinding operations. Includes a common knowledge of required hand tools and equipment, and a basic knowledge of safety practices, conduct, cleanliness, good housekeeping and equipment care.

Deburr Technician Essential Job Requirements

• Monitors machine operations to determine whether adjustments are necessary; stop machines when problems occur.
• Inspects and measures work pieces to ensure that surface finishes and dimensions meet specifications.
• Fills out and maintains necessary paperwork. Ensures paperwork is compliant with quality instructions and manufacturing job instructions.
• Sets up and operates grinding machines to grind metal production parts.
• Removes finished work pieces from machines and places them in boxes or on racks; identify and set aside pieces that are defective.
• Selects and mounts grinding wheels on machines, per specifications, using hand tools and applying knowledge of abrasives and grinding procedures.
• Performs basic maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating machine parts.

• Excellent time management skill & ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be a self-starter and able to execute job task with limited supervision.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints preferred.

Deburr Technician Required Education and Experience

• high school diploma or its equivalent.
• 2-4 years of experience as described in the position overview.

Deburr Technician Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to lift 35-50 lbs.
• Ability to lift, pull or push up to 50 lbs.; anything over 50 lbs. is to be assisted.
• Be on your feet 8-10 hours per day.

Hours of Work

• Monday-Thursday 5:00 am- 3:30 pm (4 – 10-hour shifts, off Fridays)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
