Job Overview:

The medical records/billing specialist will be responsible for organization and maintenance of patient records and helping with billing overflow.

Responsibilities:

• Precertification for surgeries and equipment.
• Work Claim Rejections.
• Run and Work Monthly Reports.
• Send Paper Claims.
• Post EFTS and paper checks.
• Help with aging reports; both insurance and patient responsibility.
• Send Monthly Statements.
• Work Insurance denials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• EMR experience.
• Medical office experience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of various insurance carriers.
• Strong verbal and written communications.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Positive and friendly attitude to patients and colleagues.
• Desire to expand your knowledge base and learn multiple facets of billing process.
• ModMed experience is a plus!
• CPC or CPB Certification is a plus!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33,280.00 - $39,520.00 per year
