Eldora Mountain Resort is Hiring a Retail Manager Near Nederland, CO

Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $60,000 year, depending on experience.

Benefits:This position is a year-round salaried and includes an outstanding benefit package. This position is eligible to enroll in company medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, HSA, life/disability options; season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Requirements:

This position is part of the Retail team for Eldora Enterprises, LLC. The Retail Manager is responsible for over-seeing the day-to-day operations in the retail locations and E-commerce operation by managing staffing, sales goals, and inventory. The person in this role motivates and inspires the team to drive sales and meet revenue goals. This position reports directly to the Director of Guest Relations, Rental and Retail Operations.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • Inventory activities to be implemented, such as formulating pricing based off marginal demands and performing regular stock take to manage products sold out of the locations.
  • Scheduling and training staff to ensure excellent customer service and expedite processes.
  • Implements safety by holding meetings, documentation, purchasing employee personal protective equipment and creating safe practices throughout the workplace in each department.
  • Manages labor to ensure budget stays within annual goal.
  • Retains equipment or product knowledge quickly and uses retention to clinic staff accordingly.
  • Maintains operations by enforcing, coordinating, and communicating policies or programs to staff and clientele.
  • Maintains effective merchandising techniques throughout store locations by using creativity to captivate consumers and effectively manage inventory flow.
  • Works with the marketing team and Director to promote programs, sales and branding related to the departments.
  • Manages POS functionality by ensuring accurate product set up, item tree display, discounting options, and operator security.
  • Assists the Director with buying decisions with equipment, retail soft goods and accessories.
  • Helps director with logo apparel design process and branding.
  • Works closely with the Nordic center director to maintain retail inventory flow, purchases and assist in buying decisions for products specific to the Nordic Center.
  • Has general understanding of matching invoicing to orders and works accounting team to reconcile purchases with invoices, as well as completing monthly retail inventories.

Development of the Retail Department:Assists with the administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce and business model with the strategic goals of the company.

  • Participates indeveloping department goals,objectives, and systems.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Assists to establish departmental measurements that support the accomplishment of the company'sstrategic goals.
  • Assists with the monitoring of an annual labor and expense budget.

Employee Relations

  • Helps with hiring and recruitment
  • Assists with team development and trainings
  • Holds individual performance reviews and coaches staff on strengths and weaknesses to better overall professional development
  • Maintains employee training records
  • Documents employee issues and manages accordingly based on policy and procedure
  • Maintains overall enjoyable staff experience by implementing positivity and fun in daily operations
  • Manages and approves payroll for the department
