About This Career Opportunity
PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Senior Accountant works under general direction of the Controller in preparation of audited, regulatory and management financial reports and in all aspects of month-end and year-end closing cycles, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations and account analysis; as well as budgeting and forecasting efforts. The Senior Accountant is responsible for the administration tasks in the accounting system, and the manager tasks in the FP&A system, including account maintenance, report maintenance, account reconciliations, and enhancements.
Are You Qualified?
Here's what you need:
- B. S. degree in Accounting preferred; suitable work experience is required in specific areas of job duties.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all general accounting functions.
- 5 years accounting experience required with 3 years in a non-profit or related area preferred.
- Ability to comprehend the complete financial pattern of all revenue and expense transactions and understand full ramifications of recording, reconciliations, and FS reporting is required.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Spreadsheet proficiency and experience with integrated G/L accounting software is required.
