About This Career Opportunity

The Memory Care Director:

  • Oversees day-to-day operations and maintains high quality, innovative programming and services for those residents in Memory Care.
  • Supervises all staff, develops family relations, provides education to staff and families. 
  • Maintains a person-directed atmosphere of meaningful engagement and community to maximize the holistic wellness of each resident.
  • Works closely with Health Care Coordinator(s) to ensure that residents' health care needs are monitored and met by their respective health care providers.

Are You Qualified?

Here's what you need:

  • Degree in therapeutic activity, gerontology, social worker or related field.
  • Two to three years healthcare management/supervisory experience, current CPR certification and demonstrated clinical competency.
  • Experience in direct provision of dementia care services in long-term care or community based setting.
  • Has working knowledge of Title 22, Division 6, Chapter 8.
  • Possesses current First Aid Certification.

  • Sensitivity and knowledge of working with older adults, the aging process and dementia care are essential.

  • Ability to interact successfully with residents, volunteers, families, and staff.

  • Must exhibit initiative, energy, and creativity in developing programming to meet resident needs.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
